On Monday, April 27, Villa Lombardi’s in Holbrook filled for the 9th Annual Beauty Ball, a celebration of beauty, health and wellness benefiting Monday’s Cancer Care. From six until ten in the evening, the room held the people who make cancer care on Long Island something more than a series of appointments: the families living it, the practitioners supporting it, and the local businesses that keep the funding coming year after year.
An honor for Dr. Fandos
This year the evening’s honor went to Dr. Luis Fandos, founder and medical director of Alluring Age, recognized for outstanding service, leadership and a sustained commitment to wellness across the Long Island community.
Dr. Fandos has spent more than twenty five years in interventional pain management and cellular medicine, and the work that earned this recognition sits well outside the treatment room. It is the health fairs, the fundraisers, the panels, the standing partnership with Monday’s Cancer Care, and, this past December, the launch of Cancer Care Chatter, a physician-led functional medicine practice built specifically around cancer recovery and the long tail of wellness that follows it.
Being honored by an organization the practice already works alongside made the night a particularly meaningful one for our whole team.

Alluring Age Wellness was proud to serve as one of 22 Chatters on Long Island supporting Monday’s Cancer Care, and our team was on site throughout the evening running VIP wellness activations for guests:
- Hand rejuvenation treatments
- Vitamin B12 injections
- VIP guest services
- Wellness giveaways
- An interactive prize wheel
The point of an activation like this is not the treatments themselves. It is the conversations they start. A guest sits down for a B12 shot and, five minutes later, is asking a real question about fatigue, or recovery, or what to do for a parent halfway through treatment. That is the whole reason we bring the practice out of the office and into rooms like this one.
Where the money goes
Monday’s Cancer Care works on four simple commitments: service, support, community and wellbeing. Every dollar raised at the Beauty Ball goes directly to individuals and families navigating cancer care across Long Island, the practical, unglamorous expenses that arrive alongside a diagnosis and rarely get covered by anything else.
Nine years in, the Beauty Ball has become one of the organization’s steadiest sources of that support, and the room on Monday night made clear why it keeps working.
