Medical Weight Loss on Long Island

Weight that will not move is usually a biological problem rather than a discipline problem. Thyroid function, hormones, insulin, sleep and stress all sit upstream of the scale, and a program that ignores them is asking you to out-work your own physiology.

Sustainable Results Built Around Your Biology

What it is

Medical Weight Loss Programs at Alluring Age go far beyond calorie counting and generic dietary advice. These scientifically backed, comprehensive programs combine peptide therapies, personalized nutrition planning, and customized exercise protocols into one cohesive strategy designed around your unique metabolism, lifestyle, and goals. The program works to regulate appetite and metabolism at the biological level through clinically proven peptide integration, deliver personalized dietary guidance that supports optimal fat loss without sacrificing sustainability, provide exercise programming specifically designed for your current fitness level and long-term objectives, and create a structured, medically supported framework for weight management that produces lasting results.

Why it matters

Weight loss is not simply a matter of willpower or effort. It is a biological process influenced by hormones, metabolism, gut health, and a range of individual factors that generic programs never address. The medical weight loss approach at Alluring Age treats it as exactly that, a medical and biological challenge that requires a personalized, clinically informed solution. By combining peptide therapy with tailored nutrition and exercise, this program addresses the root factors that make weight loss difficult while building the sustainable habits and biological conditions that make results last.

Is this right for you

Who this is for, and who it isn't.

Worth a conversation if

  • Weight that will not shift despite genuinely eating well and training
  • Weight gained through perimenopause, menopause or andropause
  • Constant hunger, cravings, or an appetite that feels unregulated
  • Repeated cycles of losing weight and regaining it
  • A family history of type 2 diabetes, or a result you were told to watch
  • You want the underlying cause investigated rather than another meal plan

Not the right fit if

  • Anyone with an active eating disorder, or a history of one, without appropriate specialist care alongside. This matters more than any other line on this page.
  • Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Patients wanting a prescription with no testing, no follow-up and no interest in the cause. That is not what is offered here.
  • Anyone looking to lose a small amount of weight quickly for an event. That is not a medical problem and does not need a medical program.

What to expect

From first call to settled plan.

  1. Consultation and comprehensive testing

Thyroid, hormones, metabolic markers and body composition. The purpose is to find what is actually making this difficult for you, because it differs between people and it is usually specific.

  2. Your results and your plan

What the testing shows, and a plan built from it: nutrition, activity, and where clinically appropriate, medication or peptide therapy. Which of those apply to you is a physician's decision made with you.

  3. Supervision

Scheduled reviews rather than a prescription and goodbye. Weight, body composition and relevant bloodwork are followed, and the plan is adjusted from what is actually happening.

  4. Holding the result

The part most programs skip. What happens as you approach your goal, and how the plan changes to keep it, is part of the conversation from the start rather than an afterthought.

How long it takes

Sustainable weight loss is measured in months. Programmes promising dramatic weekly numbers are describing water and muscle as often as fat, which is why body composition is tracked rather than weight alone. Losing muscle while losing weight makes long-term maintenance harder, so the pace here is deliberate.

How it's priced

Pricing is set at consultation rather than published as a flat rate, because the plan is built from your labs, your history and your goals rather than a menu. You will have the full cost in writing before anything is scheduled, and there is no obligation to proceed. Cherry financing is available and can be applied for in a few minutes.

Questions

Medical Weight Loss, answered honestly.

Do you prescribe GLP-1 medications like semaglutide or tirzepatide?

Whether any medication is appropriate for you is a clinical decision made at consultation from your testing, your history and your goals, and it is not something to promise in advance of seeing your results. What can be said in advance is that this is a physician-supervised program with monitoring and follow-up built in, and that any medication used is part of a plan rather than the whole of it. Bring your questions about specific medications to the consultation and you will get a direct answer.

Why do I need bloodwork to lose weight?

Because an underactive thyroid, insulin resistance, or the hormonal shift through menopause and andropause each make weight loss substantially harder, and each is treatable. If one of those is your obstacle, addressing it changes what is possible. If none is, you have ruled them out and can stop wondering.

Will I regain the weight when the program ends?

That depends on what the program actually did. Weight lost rapidly through severe restriction reliably comes back, and often with less muscle than before. A plan that addresses the underlying driver and builds sustainable habits gives you a real chance of holding it, which is why maintenance is discussed from the beginning here.

How is this different from a commercial weight loss program?

Those are nutrition and accountability programs, and for some people that is genuinely enough. This is a medical program: it starts with testing, it is supervised by a physician, and it can address a hormonal or metabolic cause that a meal plan cannot touch. If your problem is purely dietary, a commercial program may be the more proportionate answer and it is a fair thing to say.

Is it covered by insurance?

This is a private-pay practice, so the program is not billed to insurance. Some patients have their lab work covered separately through their own carrier. Cherry financing is available and the full cost is given in writing at consultation.

How much weight will I lose?

Nobody can honestly tell you that before seeing your results, and a specific figure promised at the enquiry stage is a sales tactic rather than a clinical estimate. What you will get is a realistic range once your testing is back and the physician understands what is driving your situation.

Do you track anything other than weight?

Yes, and this matters. Body composition distinguishes fat loss from muscle loss, and the scale cannot. Two people down the same number of pounds can have had completely different outcomes, and only one of them will keep it off easily.

This page is general information about a treatment offered at Alluring Age. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for a consultation. Whether any treatment is appropriate for you depends on your history, your examination and your test results.
