Bioidentical Hormone Therapy (BHRT) on Long Island
Bioidentical hormones are chemically identical to the ones your body already makes, which is why they are the ones used here. What makes the therapy work, though, is not the molecule. It is dosing it from your actual results and rechecking.
Restore Your Body's Natural Harmony from the Inside Out
What it is
Bioidentical hormone therapy uses hormones that are chemically identical to the ones your body produces naturally, making them one of the most compatible and effective options for hormonal restoration. Rather than applying a generic approach, treatment is personalized to your specific hormonal profile and needs. This therapy works to restore hormonal balance that supports mood, energy, and emotional stability, address the root causes of fatigue, weight gain, and decreased vitality, protect long-term health including bone density and cardiovascular function, and deliver results that feel natural because the hormones themselves are.
Why it matters
Hormonal imbalance does not just affect how you feel on a given day. It affects how you sleep, how you think, how your body manages weight, and how resilient you feel in the face of daily stress. Bioidentical hormone therapy addresses these issues at their source, using hormones that your body recognizes and utilizes just as it would its own. The result is not a temporary fix but a genuine restoration of the internal balance that supports your quality of life at every level.
Is this right for you
Who this is for, and who it isn't.
Worth a conversation if
- Fatigue, low mood or irritability that has built gradually rather than suddenly
- Sleep that has changed and not recovered
- Weight gain that no longer responds to what used to work
- Loss of libido, drive or general resilience
- Symptoms of menopause, perimenopause or andropause
- A previous hormone result you were told was 'fine' while still feeling unwell
Not the right fit if
- Anyone with a history of hormone-sensitive cancer, clotting disorders or active liver disease, without an individual review with the physician first.
- Patients looking for a prescription without testing. Hormone therapy dosed on symptoms alone is the reason a great deal of it does not work.
What to expect
From first call to settled plan.
Comprehensive testing
Sex hormones, adrenal hormones, thyroid and the relevant metabolites, so the plan is built on the full picture rather than one or two markers.
Reviewing your results
You go through what the panel shows with the physician, including what is driving which symptom. Understanding your own results is part of the treatment, not a courtesy.
Your protocol
Hormones, doses and delivery method chosen to your profile. Creams, injections, pellets and oral options are all available, and which one you use is a decision made with you.
Monitoring
Repeat bloodwork at intervals, with the dose adjusted from the results. Hormone therapy is a managed course, not a prescription you collect.
How long it takes
Sleep and mood commonly shift first, often within the early weeks. Energy, body composition and libido build over the following months as levels stabilize. The first recheck is where the plan is genuinely calibrated, so the honest expectation is that the second phase of treatment fits better than the first.
How it's priced
Pricing is set at consultation rather than published as a flat rate, because the plan is built from your labs, your history and your goals rather than a menu. You will have the full cost in writing before anything is scheduled, and there is no obligation to proceed. Cherry financing is available and can be applied for in a few minutes.

BHRT, answered honestly.
What actually makes a hormone 'bioidentical'?
Its chemical structure is identical to the hormone your body produces, rather than a close analogue. That is the whole of the distinction. It does not mean natural, unregulated or automatically safer, and any practice using the word to imply those things is stretching it.
Is BHRT the same as the hormone therapy my doctor mentioned?
Often it overlaps substantially. The differences here are usually the breadth of testing behind the prescription, the fact that dosing is calculated from your own results rather than a standard starting dose, and that levels are rechecked and adjusted rather than set once.
How is this different from what I can get from my primary care doctor?
Primary care is generally working to a different question: whether you have a diagnosable deficiency. This practice is working to whether your levels are where they need to be for you to feel and function well, which is a narrower target and requires more testing and more follow-up to hit.
Which delivery method will I be on?
Creams, injections, pellets and oral preparations are all used here, and the answer depends on your labs, your symptoms and, honestly, on what you will keep up with. Consistency is what makes hormone therapy work over the long run, so the practical question matters as much as the clinical one.
How soon will I have my results?
Turnaround depends on the panel, and the more comprehensive tests take longer than a standard blood draw. You are told the expected timeframe when the sample is taken, and you review the results with the physician rather than receiving them cold in a portal.
Do you treat men as well as women?
Yes. BHRT covers testosterone therapy for men and estrogen, progesterone and testosterone for women, along with thyroid and adrenal support where the testing shows it is needed.
What if hormones turn out not to be the problem?
Then you will be told that, and the testing will usually have pointed at what is. Thyroid dysfunction, nutrient deficiency, poor sleep and chronic stress all produce a symptom picture that looks like a hormone problem, which is exactly why the panel is broad rather than narrow.
